MeisterWerke is Committed to LED - No Price Increases in the Lighting Segment

The EU-wide ban on traditional 60 watt bulbs has applied since the 1st September. At the same time, manufacturers like OSRAM and Philips are announcing price increases in the energy saving lamp segment for wholesalers, which they justify with rapidly rising raw material prices.


"MeisterWerke is therefore taking their energy saving lamps out of their range as of 1st November to not get involved in this price battle", emphasises Guido Schulte, Managing Director MeisterWerke. And Karsten Herting, Product Manager responsible for the lighting range in the company, adds: "We are replacing these types of lights with environmentally friendly and high quality LED downlights, which are in no way of inferior quality to energy saving lamps.”

 

At the wood industry show at the start of November in Cologne, visitors were able to convince themselves personally of this and get to know the new lights in the MEISTER lighting range. The LV LED starry sky, also available in square format, shines with three small spot lights in a warm white light and in combination with several sets makes it possible to effectively accentuate ceiling lighting. Thanks to an exceptionally low installation depth of just 13mm the lights can also be installed in MEISTER skirting boards.
